Managing Food Allergies in the School Setting
In response to the CDC Guidelines for Managing Food Allergies in the School Setting, FACET has developed educational presentations covering these guidelines. This training will help you/your organization develop and implement a comprehensive plan for managing food allergies, including steps for creating a healthy and safe education environment, and how to prepare for emergencies.

Food Allergies: Prevention and Preparedness
This presentation is targeted toward individuals and organizations that care for children with food allergies yet beneficial for everyone. (60 minute training).

- Tips for food allergy management and reaction prevention.
- Education on identify and treating a severe allergic reaction.
- Awareness of the physical and emotional health effects of food allergies.
In an effort to increase awareness of anaphylaxis in East Tennessee, FACETs leadership has joined the national Anaphylaxis Community Experts (ACE) network. ACE educational programs promote community awareness of anaphylaxis and teach how to recognize and respond immediately to anaphylaxis symptoms. Presentations are available for schools, PTA meetings, parents, churches, emergency responders, and other organizations.
